Orthodontics and invisible braces in Wolverhampton

Orthodontics is a way of straightening teeth or moving them to improve both their appearance and function. It’s possible to correct misaligned and overcrowded teeth and fix those that are too far apart. With an increasingly image conscious society, more and more young adults are now considering having their smiles rebuilt in this way.

At Parkside Dental Practice we have a large, dedicated orthodontics clinic. Our respected clinicians handle referral work as well as caring for our own patients.

Strident changes have been made in recent years in both technology and clinical methodology and a large raft of treatment options are available. Results can be nothing short of stunning and can quite literally change appearances for the better.

We are all aware of both fixed and removable wire braces, but now there is a new generation of near-invisible, cosmetic braces that make the orthodontic process much more approachable. These are available for children and adults, but are not NHS funded.

Invisalign treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that are changed every two weeks for a new slightly different set of aligners.

Each aligner is individually manufactured for the patient’s teeth. As the aligners are replaced teeth will move – little by little, each week – until they have straightened to the final position prescribed by our dentists.

A virtual 3-D treatment plan (ClinCheck© treatment plan), which will configure the aligners required, shows the series of movements teeth will go through, allowing a clear insight into what the finished look will be like.

If you're ready for a smile transformation that does not interfere with your day-to-day life, Invisalign may be right for you. Call us on 01902 421291 and we’d be happy to talk to you about your options.
